Support Engineer, Macro Technology

Point72 is a global asset management firm investing across multiple strategies and building a cutting-edge Technology team focused on cloud, open-source, and AI-driven solutions. The Macro Technology Support Engineer will maintain and improve Macro trading and post-trade systems, troubleshoot production issues, manage user access and configuration, and collaborate with technology and business partners to ensure accurate analytics and stable operations.

Skills

  • Training in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related technical field
  • Experience supporting a Macro trading business and post-trade workflows
  • Experience with Orchestrade, Murex, or similar front-to-back systems
  • Proficient SQL query skills and scripting or coding ability (C#, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Batch)
  • Familiarity with Windows, .NET, and SQL Server environments
  • Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork abilities
  • Detail-oriented data analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Support and monitor Macro trading platform and post-trade workflows to ensure system stability and performance
  • Troubleshoot system and data issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate production incident responses
  • Manage user onboarding/offboarding, access requests, and system configuration changes
  • Configure account rollups and instrument setups to produce accurate analytics for Macro workflows
  • Automate repetitive processes and innovate tools to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with technology and business teams on high-impact changes and deployments
  • Develop quantitative understanding of reference, market, and model data, P&L, risk, and portfolio analytics

Education

  • Degree or training in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or a related technical discipline
