SNOC Engineer II
Skills
- 2+ years in SOC, NOC, IT support, or infrastructure operations
- Strong incident response and root cause analysis skills
- Experience with SIEM platforms, EDR, and monitoring tools
- Troubleshooting across security, network, systems, and cloud domains
- Familiarity with alert management and detection tuning
- Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Detect and respond to security threats across network, systems, and cloud environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and perform root cause analysis
- Act as an escalation point for unresolved alerts and incidents
- Mentor SNOC Engineer I team members and support technical development
- Create and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge-base documentation
- Maintain and tune SIEM and EDR detections to improve accuracy
- Support proactive security initiatives such as threat hunting and detection engineering
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams on remediation plans and integration projects
- Support compliance initiatives including CMMC, SOC 2, and ISO 27001
Education
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field OR equivalent experience
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Azure Administrator, ITIL Foundations
