Skills
- Proven experience managing Android and/or iOS engineers and delivering consumer mobile apps
- Strong technical judgment and ability to participate in technical design and trade-off decisions
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and experience driving process improvements
- Experience with release management, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile app lifecycle
- Comfort with agentic coding and AI development workflows
- Excellent cross-functional communication and project management skills
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of Android and iOS engineers through planning, development, shipping, and maintenance of mobile features.
- Oversee technical execution and delivery of cross-functional projects involving mobile, backend, data science, firmware, and QA.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Science, Data, Regulatory, and Marketing stakeholders to scope and prioritize work.
- Provide technical leadership and participate in architecture and design discussions; evaluate trade-offs and make decisions.
- Champion engineering excellence by defining key metrics, driving continuous improvements, and improving development processes.
- Act as point of contact for release management and ensure timely production deployments.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with distributed teams across US and EU time zones.
Education
- Technical degree (CS, Engineering, or related) or equivalent professional software engineering experience
