Motorola Solution’s Video Security & Access Control Division is defining the future of the security industry through innovative end-to-end-solutions. We’re changing the landscape of the surveillance industry through advanced award-winning AI based surveillance systems. Artificial Intelligence is transforming the world and our team is advancing the field as it applies to the surveillance industry. Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Director of Engineering to lead a large and talented team responsible for large-scale security solutions serving millions of users. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to build the future of Video Security in a global platform. You will manage engineers across multiple teams and global locations, obsess over quality and customers, and oversee global deployments. You will be joining an organization with a strong commitment to innovation and a collaborative culture. Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Drive and communicate the technical strategy and roadmap for the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.

• Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality software solutions, meeting scalability, performance, and security requirements.

• Partner cross-functionally with product management, security, and compliance teams to deliver impactful and compliant solutions.

• Champion engineering best practices and promote a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management.

• 6+ years of experience in an Engineering leadership role.

• Experience successfully evolving organizations with a focus on empowering leadership teams, enabling others to make decisions, rather than dictating the "correct" way.

• Passionate about creating positive and engaging, high-trust employee environments, where you care about your people.

• Experience in building and managing diverse, high-performing, geographically-distributed engineering teams with sensitivity to different cultures.

• A proven track record of shipping complex, large-scale products on time and within budget.

• Deep understanding of software architectures and patterns.

• Proven track record of defining and executing an AI-first engineering strategy, moving beyond experimentation to deploy scalable, production-grade intelligent systems. 

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.

• Strong understanding of security and compliance standards in the technology industry. Oversee the implementation and management of security compliance programs, ensuring all cloud and on-premise solutions adhere to relevant regulations (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Target Base Salary Range: $240,000 - $275,000

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
