Director, Digital Transformation & Martech Management

Company Description

CREATIVITY IS OUR SUPERPOWER. It’s our heritage and it’s also our future. Because we don’t just make toys. We create innovative products and experiences that inspire fans, entertain audiences and develop children through play. Mattel is at its best when every member of our team feels respected, included, and heard—when everyone can show up as themselves and do their best work every day. We value and share an infinite range of ideas and voices that evolve and broaden our perspectives with a reach that extends into all our brands, partners, and suppliers.

Job Description

The Opportunity:

As Director, Martech Product Management, you will own and evolve Mattel’s global marketing technology ecosystem — uniting platforms, data, and AI to unlock scale, creativity, and operational excellence across the enterprise. You will lead the integration and optimization of Mattel’s full marketing tech stack — spanning workflow, content, media, and analytics systems — to ensure every tool drives measurable value. This role manages a team of four Product Managers who oversee the day-to-day management and evolution of key tools within the martech ecosystem.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Own and evolve the end-to-end marketing technology stack to support brand planning, creative development, and demand creation.
  • Lead vendor and platform management, including roadmaps, RFPs, QBRs, negotiations, and enterprise partnerships.
  • Manage relationships with key partners including Adobe, Google, OpenAI, Airtable, Miro, Leonardo, Munch, Eleven Labs, Tenovos, Box, Sprinklr, Cerby, Dash Hudson, Captiv8, Tubular, and Gartner.
  • Drive AI adoption and agentic transformation across marketing and creative workflows.
  • Standardize data, taxonomy, permissions, and access governance across all tools and systems.
  • Lead and mentor a team of four Product Managers, each responsible for a segment of Mattel’s martech ecosystem.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Brand Ops, Creative, Media, IT, and regional marketing teams to ensure system usability and adoption.
  • Lead training, office hours, and onboarding programs to drive awareness, ease of use, and platform ROI across global teams.

Success Measures

  • Increased tool adoption, utilization, and satisfaction across global teams.
  • Enhanced data accuracy, accessibility, and integrity.
  • Reduction in redundant tools, workflows, and spend.
  • Improved operational efficiency, collaboration speed, and marketing output per head.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10–15+ years of experience in martech product management, digital transformation/ operations, or marketing systems leadership.
  • Deep understanding of the macro martech landscape, relational data systems, and AI-driven automation.
  • Familiarity with agile and lean methodologies and comfort working in no-code or light-code environments.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical systems into simple, business-impact narratives.
  • Strong vendor-management and negotiation skills across multiple enterprise platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.

*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience. Mattel offers competitive total pay programs, comprehensive benefits, and resources to help empower a culture where every employee can reach their full potential.
