Blackstone Shooting Sports is Charlotte's premier firearms retailer and shooting range. We are looking for a detail-oriented eCommerce Catalog & Content Specialist to own our product data across our online store and internal systems. This role sits at the intersection of content, data integrity, merchandising, and compliance — and is critical to our continued growth in online sales.
• Product Content Management: Create, edit, and maintain product listings, descriptions, specifications, images, and attributes to ensure accurate and compelling representation on the website.
• Inventory & Vendor Feeds: Manage and integrate product data feeds from multiple distributors and vendors, ensuring up-to-date availability, pricing, and descriptions across all channels.
• Taxonomy and Categorization: Develop and maintain a logical, customer-friendly taxonomy for firearms, ammunition, and accessories that supports efficient search and navigation.
• Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure all product information adheres to industry standards, legal regulations, and company policies — including ATF requirements and applicable firearms sales regulations.
• Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Optimize product descriptions and category pages to drive organic traffic and improve product discoverability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with merchandising, marketing, compliance, and customer service teams to ensure consistency and accuracy across all product-related content.
• On-site Merchandising: Curate and organize collections, promotions, and featured products based on customer interest, seasonality, and inventory levels.
• Reporting and Analysis: Use analytics tools to monitor product page performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations for content improvements.
• Familiarity with firearms, ammunition, and related products is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, etc.) and product information management (PIM) systems.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices, taxonomy, and digital merchandising strategies.
• Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
