Account Executive, SLED (Texas)

Everpure (Pure Storage) is redefining data storage with radically simple, all-flash infrastructure, and is seeking an Account Executive to lead growth across State, Local, and Education (SLED) customers in Texas. The role focuses on modernizing public-sector infrastructure through strategic sales, complex procurement navigation, and cross-functional pursuit leadership.

Skills

  • Deep SLED procurement knowledge (RFIs, RFPs, contract negotiation)
  • Proven strategic/enterprise sales and quota attainment
  • Experience working with federal system integrators and channel partners
  • Strong ability to translate technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders
  • CRM-driven territory management and pipeline forecasting
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive full sales cycle within the Texas SLED territory to identify new logos and expand existing accounts to hit quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Position and evangelize the Everpure platform and all-flash technology to diverse public-sector stakeholders, translating technical benefits into clear value.
  • Lead cross-functional pursuit teams (technical, product, channel) to build account plans and execute strategic deals.
  • Manage RFIs/RFPs and procurement processes, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliant, competitive proposals.
  • Cultivate long-term customer relationships from technical teams to executive sponsors to achieve high customer satisfaction and referenceable outcomes.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant industry certifications or public-sector training a plus
