Responsibilities
- Define and evolve control plane architecture for scalability, reliability, performance, and security.
- Design, implement, and deliver production-quality Golang services for Capella platform capabilities.
- Architect and optimize multi-cloud deployments, networking, VPC/VNet peering, load balancing, and secure connectivity.
- Build and scale multi-tenant control plane services that orchestrate Couchbase clusters across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, CI/CD practices, and design patterns with strong code reviews.
- Define and implement observability: monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting standards.
- Lead design and delivery of provisioning, lifecycle management, and security control features.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, SRE, QE, and operations to align technical direction with business goals.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, set technical direction and engineering culture standards.
- Research, evaluate, and lead adoption of cloud-native and AI/ML technologies for control plane integration.
- Perform Tier 3 support, lead root cause analysis and deliver long-term production fixes.
- Define processes for AI model deployment, lifecycle management, and observability within multi-cloud architecture.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- 12+ years professional software engineering experience (or equivalent)
- 5+ years focused on cloud and distributed systems
