Skills
- Proficiency in Go (Golang) or strong readiness to ramp quickly
- Experience designing, building, and operating developer platforms, package registries, or build systems
- CI/CD and cloud-native infrastructure experience (Docker/OCI, Kubernetes)
- Public cloud experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and IaC tools like Terraform
- Familiarity with CI tooling such as GitHub Actions, Argo, or Tekton
- SRE/platform responsibilities: reliability, observability, SLOs, incident response
- Automation for vulnerability scanning, SBOMs, provenance, and remediation workflows
- Strong remote collaboration and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Design and implement services, APIs, pipelines, and a package index that power secure, reproducible library build/test/distribution workflows across Java, JavaScript, Python/AI/ML and other ecosystems.
- Automate artifact creation, CVE remediation and verification workflows, SBOM and provenance generation, and policy enforcement for the libraries catalog.
- Build and operate shared platform services: package indexes, registry mirrors, metadata services, and orchestration tooling serving external customers and internal teams.
- Develop developer tools and CLIs (often in Go) integrating with build systems and CI/CD to improve large-scale library build/test/shipping workflows.
- Define and drive reliability, scalability, and observability: set SLOs, implement monitoring/alerting, lead incident response and post-incident improvements.
- Troubleshoot complex dependency, toolchain, and CI/CD issues in production and partner with ecosystem, Platform, Delivery, Sustaining, and Security teams.
- Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and mentoring to help teammates unblock and maintain a strong engineering culture.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent practical experience
- Continued learning mindset and familiarity with cloud-native tooling and software supply chain security concepts
