Staff FPGA Engineer, Intelligence Systems
Skills
- Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog
- Extensive experience with Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms
- Experience with Vivado, ModelSim, Quartus or similar EDA tools
- FPGA bring-up and SoC hardware initialization, preferably ARM-based
- High-speed interfaces and signal-processing implementation
- Simulation, verification, and board-level debug skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional engineering teams
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance (current and maintainable)
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and simulate FPGA logic (VHDL/Verilog) for Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms
- Integrate third-party IP and verify interoperability with system components
- Participate across the design lifecycle from requirements and architecture to hands-on board bring-up and testing
- Implement and validate high-speed communications (Ethernet, serial) and signal-processing data paths
- Perform HDL- and system-level debugging and resolve issues found during testing and board bring-up
- Ensure designs meet safety, performance, and traceability requirements to top-level system needs
- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and systems engineers to deliver deployable solutions
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or related field (required)
- Advanced degree in a related field (preferred)
