Skills
- Strong knowledge of 3D computer vision: multi-view geometry, camera models, photogrammetry, 3D reconstruction
- Fluency with numpy, OpenCV, PyTorch (or equivalent ML frameworks)
- 6+ years professional experience with C++ or Rust
- Proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization
- Experience deploying software to end customers or fielded systems
- Experience integrating real-world sensors (LiDAR, RGB-D, stereo, TOF) preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and eligible to obtain US Secret clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop robust 3D perception and computer vision algorithms for real-time autonomous decision-making.
- Design and implement structure-from-motion and SLAM pipelines for multi-camera inputs.
- Integrate perception outputs with path planning, state estimation, and control systems.
- Design experiments, lead data collection, and curate training/evaluation datasets.
- Collaborate with robotics, software, and hardware teams to deploy perception software on aerial platforms.
- Work with vendors and government stakeholders to advance perception and world-modeling capabilities.
Education
- BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required)
- MS or PhD in a related field preferred
