Senior Systems Security Engineer, Programs

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building AI-powered command-and-control, autonomy, and sensor systems for U.S. and allied customers. The Senior Systems Security Engineer will drive security engineering across products—deriving requirements, designing architectures, implementing features, and executing multi-level security testing for embedded, aerospace, and AI-enabled systems while interfacing with program leadership and government customers.

Skills

8+ years in systems security engineering, cybersecurity, systems, electrical, software, or computer engineering
Deep knowledge of embedded systems security and experience with embedded hardware/FPGA security features (e.g., secure boot, key management)
Proven experience designing security architectures and executing security test strategies for complex systems
Experience working on defense or national security systems or complex commercial embedded systems
Ability to brief and liaise with technical government customers
Active US Secret clearance with SAP eligibility and ability to obtain Top Secret

Responsibilities

Own security end-to-end for assigned products: derive security requirements from customer needs and threat intelligence and decompose them into implementable designs
Design and document security architectures for embedded systems, C2 platforms, autonomy stacks, and sensors
Implement security features and capabilities and guide engineering teams on secure integrations
Develop and execute comprehensive security test strategies across unit, integration, and system levels; support SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and PRR milestone deliveries
Coordinate and collaborate with security assessment teams to uncover vulnerabilities via assessments, penetration testing, and red teaming
Brief security architectures and tradeoffs to government customers and program leadership, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences
Work cross-functionally to integrate threat modeling, validation, supply chain, and configuration management into product lifecycle

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field — or equivalent education/work experience
Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance; currently possess final active US Secret with SAP eligibility
