Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical
Skills
- 5+ years building complex electrical assemblies (PCBAs, sensors, batteries, cable harnesses)
- Experience designing production workstations, value stream mapping, and material flow optimization
- Familiarity with MES and ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite or similar)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and 3D CAD files and translate them into manufacturable processes
- Data-driven analysis of cycle time, quality metrics, and capacity planning
- Hands-on production support mindset and cross-functional coordination skills
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and implement manufacturing processes, workflows, and detailed work instructions for NPI and full-rate production.
- Analyze cycle time and quality metrics to identify bottlenecks, imbalances, and opportunities for throughput and yield improvement.
- Provide technical guidance to production teams and act as liaison between Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business Operations.
- Collaborate with Quality to set inspection criteria and ensure manufacturing capability aligns with product specifications.
- Develop and maintain material flow strategies (pull systems, Kanban, min/max) and part presentation/line-side racking standards.
- Support and interact with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and ERP tools to ensure accurate production operations.
- Organize and facilitate workshops to generate process improvement ideas and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
- Promote and enforce health and safety regulations and a culture of continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
