Senior Software Engineer - Simulation Scenario Full Stack Frontend
Do you enjoy creating intuitive interfaces that make complicated systems easy to understand and use? The Simulation Scenario Frameworks team at Zoox is looking for a full-stack engineer to enable and extend authoring of challenging real-world driving scenarios
- Develop autonomous driving simulation scenario tools to author, inspect, and evaluate the performance of autonomous driving software.
- Extend a web-based front-end for 3D graphical definition of detailed autonomous driving simulation scenarios.
- Extend a web back-end to interact with simulation and autonomous driving software.
- Work closely with internal customers and other stakeholders to gather requirements and design solutions.
- 5+ years of industry experience, with proficiency in Web APIs, TypeScript, and CSS
- Experience building sophisticated single-page web applications with modern web development frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Experience developing web user interfaces (UI / UX)
- A BS in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with 3D libraries / engines (e.g., Three.js, OpenGL, Unity, etc.)
- Experience in C++ and Python development
- Experience with simulation, robotics, or autonomous vehicles
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $195,000 - $255,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Zoox also offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (e.g. sick leave, vacation, bereavement), unpaid time off, Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights, Amazon RSUs, health insurance, long-term care insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and life insurance.
