Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)
Skills
- Proficiency in one or more languages: Python, Go, Node, Ruby, or Elixir
- Strong experience with containerization (Docker); Kubernetes familiarity is a plus
- Experience with cloud-native observability standards (OpenMetrics, OpenTracing, OpenCensus)
- Hands-on experience designing and configuring modern CI/CD workflows
- Deep understanding of SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and the golden metrics
- Practical Git/GitHub branching strategy knowledge and troubleshooting of containerized apps
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform and similar tools a plus)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to define and implement monitoring, SLIs/SLOs, and alerting
- Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD pipeline and deployment issues
- Design and implement automation to reduce developer toil and codify operational processes
- Own application configuration, scaling, and reliability for assigned services
- Build libraries and tooling to standardize instrumentation, metrics, and logging across services
- Create and refine synthetic monitoring flows and production observability
- Evangelize DevOps culture and best practices across partner teams
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred
- Equivalent practical experience in lieu of degree accepted
