Skills
- Experience implementing lean methodologies at supplier or manufacturing sites
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Experience with supplier audits, qualification programs, and corrective action processes
- Familiarity with aerospace quality and regulatory frameworks (e.g., AS9100, ITAR)
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel for data-driven supplier performance tracking
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Execute supplier qualification lifecycle: technical audits, capability assessments, and first article inspections (FAI)
- Lead supplier continuous improvement and performance management efforts
- Facilitate lean implementation at supplier sites (value stream mapping, kaizen, 5S, kanban)
- Support resolution of supplier technical and quality escapes through RCA and corrective actions
- Identify and escalate supply chain risks including single-source dependencies and long-lead items
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management to align supplier readiness with program milestones
- Develop and improve supplier development processes, tools, and documentation
- Travel to supplier sites as needed (estimated 30–50%) and participate in special projects
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline
