- Proven DC-DC power converter development experience
- Magnetics design including planar magnetics and custom transformers/inductors
- Modeling, simulation, and hands-on testing of power electronics
- Experience with control loop design, compensation, and loop-gain/impedance measurements
- Familiarity with battery systems, MPPT, and power system reliability/fault tolerance
Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and test DC-DC converters for harsh and spaceflight environments
- Perform electrical power system and subsystem level design trades and develop requirements
- Define and execute verification and validation testing and analysis for power systems
- Design custom magnetics (planar and wound) and select optimal converter topologies and components
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (design, test, production) to mature hardware to flight readiness
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred)
