Senior Global Supply Manager, Capital Equipment, Semiconductor (Starlink)

SpaceX is a mission-driven aerospace company developing technologies to enable human life on other planets. The Senior Global Supply Manager for Capital Equipment (Semiconductor, Starlink) will lead sourcing, supplier development, and capital equipment procurement for a major semiconductor manufacturing initiative, partnering closely with engineering, finance, and program leadership to deliver equipment on schedule and on budget.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing and cost-management strategies for capital equipment and production consumables
  • Manage end-to-end capital equipment purchases including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order execution
  • Own project budgets, compile funding requests, and maintain Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses
  • Use data analytics and benchmarking to identify cost, process, and space optimization opportunities
  • Communicate equipment status, schedules, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships; source, onboard, and develop new suppliers
  • Coordinate vendor support for setup, installation, repairs, and maintenance
  • Track and report projected vs. actual spend and assess budgetary risk
  • Drive cross-functional consensus and ensure adherence to project timelines

Education

  • Advanced degree preferred (or bachelor’s degree with additional experience)
  • Relevant technical or business degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or related field
