Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing and cost-management strategies for capital equipment and production consumables
- Manage end-to-end capital equipment purchases including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order execution
- Own project budgets, compile funding requests, and maintain Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses
- Use data analytics and benchmarking to identify cost, process, and space optimization opportunities
- Communicate equipment status, schedules, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership
- Build and maintain supplier relationships; source, onboard, and develop new suppliers
- Coordinate vendor support for setup, installation, repairs, and maintenance
- Track and report projected vs. actual spend and assess budgetary risk
- Drive cross-functional consensus and ensure adherence to project timelines
Education
- Advanced degree preferred (or bachelor’s degree with additional experience)
- Relevant technical or business degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or related field
