- Lean manufacturing methodologies (Kanban, 5S, single-piece flow, standard work)
- Process engineering, value stream mapping and continuous improvement
- Data analysis and metrics-driven improvement
- ERP / MRP systems experience
- SQL, Python, Excel and data visualization (Tableau or PowerBI)
- PLM experience (Teamcenter) and Visual Basic familiarity
- Project management and cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) or equivalent problem-solving training
- Ability to work autonomously and influence without authority
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet ITAR eligibility
Responsibilities
- Champion transformation and industrialization of thermal hardware manufacturing to scale high-volume production
- Partner with operations leadership to improve labor efficiency, utilization, and work sequencing
- Reduce cycle time, WIP and waste to create production capacity
- Develop and enforce a lean roadmap and deploy lean tools (Kanban, single-piece flow, 5S, point-of-use)
- Design and optimize production layouts, material flow, and point-of-use setups
- Measure and track cycle vs TAKT, SWIP, production load and other KPIs
- Lead materials replenishment systems including supermarkets and point-of-use concepts
- Coach engineers, cell leaders and operators on continuous improvement and cost-efficient practices
- Identify, prioritize and execute process improvement and automation projects
- Perform data analysis, develop productivity tools, and present regular operations performance reviews
- Perform capacity calculations and process capability studies to assess production readiness
- Drive department-wide initiatives and provide daily, weekly and monthly visibility into performance
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or other engineering discipline required
- Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt or Black Belt)
