- Experience designing mechanical and fluid systems including hydraulics and cryogenic plumbing
- Understanding and application of GD&T and manufacturing techniques
- Ability to perform structural analysis and assess failure modes for complex weldments
- Hands-on assembly, integration, and test experience with large-scale hardware
- Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (software, operations, vehicle engineering)
Responsibilities
- Drive hardware development for tower and launch mount systems across architecture, design, analysis, manufacturing, activation, and operations
- Design and own mechanisms, actuation systems, fluid systems, and large welded structures
- Perform structural, dynamic, thermal, and fluids analyses to define requirements and optimize designs
- Collaborate with software and operations engineers to develop fault-tolerant concepts of operations
- Coordinate with vehicle engineers to ensure tower, mount, and vehicle integration and compatibility
- Support hands-on assembly, integration, testing, and rapid iteration of hardware
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (required)
- Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline (preferred)
