Vehicle Hardware Test Engineer II (Fluids)
Skills
- Strong foundation in fundamental physics and first-principles problem solving
- Experience with fluid systems and fluid system architecture (2+ years)
- Experience developing and executing aerospace qualification test programs (e.g., SMC-S-016 or similar)
- Hands-on experience with fittings, seals, valves, regulators, and system-level fluid testing
- Familiarity with FEA tools for structural margin evaluation
- Mechanical test fixture design and test instrumentation experience
- Ability to interpret test data and drive design changes
Responsibilities
- Iterate on hardware designs and supporting analysis based on test findings
- Design mechanical test fixtures for component and system-level testing
- Translate design requirements, industry standards, and system criteria into qualification and development test campaigns
- Develop processes and solutions to accelerate and expand hardware testing capabilities
- Support execution, troubleshooting, data collection, and interpretation of hardware test campaigns
- Collaborate across design, manufacturing, and systems teams to integrate test feedback into hardware improvements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
