Manager, Launch Design and Build Engineering
Skills
- Field and construction engineering experience
- Project management for construction programs
- Proficiency with 3D/CAD tools (NX, AutoCAD or similar)
- Knowledge of architectural, structural, civil, and MEPF systems
- Experience with permitting, land use, and coordination with local government
- Experience producing and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- QA/QC, safety, and construction means & methods knowledge
- Budgeting, scheduling, and cost control for construction projects
Responsibilities
- Lead development, design, and construction of launch infrastructure and facilities for Terran R
- Coordinate cross-functional technical teams to define architectural, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and industrial requirements
- Serve as owner’s representative with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Develop project designs, budgets, schedules, and scope; manage RFPs, bidding, evaluations, and subcontractor selection
- Manage construction documentation, drawings, permitting, QA/QC, and site safety compliance
- Oversee on-site construction management and field supervision to ensure projects meet quality, cost, and schedule targets
- Support testing, operations readiness, and handover activities in partnership with Launch Operations and Vehicle teams
- Provide regular reporting on project status, risks, and mitigation to remote leadership
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related technical discipline
- Ability to clear a US government background check for on-site work
