Learning & Development Manager - Leadership Development

Michels Corporation is a family-owned infrastructure contractor focused on high-impact projects and continuous growth. They are seeking a Learning & Development Manager - Leadership Development to lead the strategy, design, and delivery of scalable leadership programs, partner with business leaders and HRBPs to close skill gaps, coach leaders, and oversee a team of L&D professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality learning outcomes.

Skills

  • Adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Leadership development program design and delivery
  • Facilitation and presentation skills for large groups
  • Coaching and talent consultation
  • Digital learning development (Articulate Storyline 360 preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Stakeholder management and partnership with HRBPs
  • Project management and measurable program evaluation

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy, design, and delivery of leadership development programs (needs analysis → design → facilitation → evaluation)
  • Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to identify skill gaps and create scalable solutions
  • Design and develop learning content, facilitator guides, participant materials, and digital e-learning modules
  • Facilitate workshops and large-group learning sessions with confidence and strong engagement
  • Coach and advise leaders on development planning and talent processes
  • Provide direction and support to L&D team members; set priorities, coach, and drive accountability
  • Implement learning standards, measurement approaches, and continuous improvement practices
  • Ensure learning is applied on the job and track program outcomes and ROI

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (required) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Instructional design certification (preferred)
