Overview
The Vice President of IMC Intelligence & Financial Operations, Americas plays a critical leadership role in shaping strategic planning, business reporting, and financial operations for the Americas IMC organization. Further, the leader in this role brings together an understanding of Mastercard’s brand performance, map workflows, and advances AI transformation opportunities for the Americas organization, with a particular focus on sales enablement. This role partners closely with senior stakeholders to identify brand performance opportunities, align investment decisions, optimize performance, and scale the impact of IMC initiatives—ensuring Mastercard remains differentiated as a marketing and payments industry leader.
Role
Financial Planning & Reporting:
• This role owns planning of the NAM IMC financial budget, setting the annual and multi‑quarter investment framework that aligns resources to strategic priorities, growth opportunities, and business outcomes.
• The role provides active financial oversight and governance by tracking planned and ad hoc spend, ensuring obligations are met, surfacing risks early, and delivering clear visibility into performance versus plan.
Financial Operations
• This role leads vendor onboarding and management by coordinating setup, compliance, and engagement to ensure efficient activation aligned with enterprise requirements.
• The role ensures timely invoice approval and financial close‑out by overseeing end‑to‑end invoicing workflows, proactively resolving issues, and maintaining discipline against payment schedules and controls.
Strategic Planning & Optimization:
• This role is a key contributor to the development, tracking, and optimization of the integrated Americas IMC strategic plan and quarterly business reviews—aggregating objectives and activities across stakeholders, identifying priorities and tradeoffs, and advancing breakthrough ideas and innovations.
• “Know your work” exercises are central to this role, driving regional and global transparency into IMC efforts, highlighting success stories, and identifying opportunities to scale creative briefs and initiatives with improved ROI.
Advisory & Coordination
• Lead executive‑level quarterly business reviews (Americas LT) and thought leadership by shaping clear, compelling narratives that translate strategy, insights, and market context into high‑impact communications.
• Drive preparation for key business reviews by partnering cross‑functionally to synthesize inputs, align stakeholders, and equip leadership with cohesive, insight‑led storylines and materials.
Brand Performance:
• This role will lead the Americas team through a transformation how we measure and track our Mastercard brand performance to serve both global and regional requirements.
• The individual filling this role will need to stay abreast of competitive & industry activities, threats & opportunities, translating them into tangible actions to be taken by the broader IMC Americas team.
Artificial Intelligence:
• This role will lead critical workstreams on defining the use cases and workflows powered by AI and technology for the broader Americas organization, including onboarding & piloting new capabilities with vendors, redefining how work is completed with the support of AI, and setting up the KPIs to measure outcomes.
• The leader in this role will bring best practices to the team and, in connection with their strategic planning, allocate and prioritize budgets to accelerate the Americas transformation.

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking, executive‑level communication and presentation abilities, and proficiency in financial management and data analytics
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, influence, and partner across high‑performing teams
• Thought leadership: Clear point of view on the brand and media landscape, with the ability to scale marketing impact across the organization
• Execution: Demonstrated experience translating strategy into actionable plans that deliver measurable outcomes and business growth
• Foresight, insights, and trends: Ability to anticipate investment scenarios and shape forward‑looking perspectives that unlock brand and business opportunities
• Trusted business partner: Recognized for reliability, collaboration, and strong cross‑functional partnership
• B2C and B2B experience: Experience working across both consumer and business‑to‑business marketing teams.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
