Skills
- Proven engineering leadership with experience managing direct reports in high-growth environments.
- Deep experience deploying and optimizing deep learning models on constrained hardware (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, ARM, RISC-V).
- Strong proficiency in systems languages and toolchains such as Go, C++, Yocto, and Zephyr.
- Experience with model optimization techniques (quantization, pruning, knowledge distillation) and runtimes like TensorRT, OpenVINO, or TensorFlow Lite.
- Experience shipping hardware-integrated software with JDM/ODM partners and managing remote device fleets at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers focused on edge software, embedded systems, and Edge AI.
- Own recruiting, hiring, and continuous development to build a top-tier engineering organization.
- Collaborate with Architects, Principal Engineers, Product, Hardware, QA, and InfoSec to define and deliver scalable edge architectures.
- Drive operational excellence in delivery processes, CI/CD for embedded/edge systems, and incident/observability practices.
- Translate business requirements into technical roadmaps, prioritize work, and make data-driven tradeoffs between innovation and technical debt.
- Manage stakeholder communications and align engineering execution with executive strategy.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (required).
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a related field is a plus.
