- Strong networking and TCP/IP knowledge

- Scripting experience (Zeek scripts, Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell)
- Expertise with Windows, macOS, Linux/Unix operating systems
- Experience with IDS/IPS, packet brokers and network administration
- Familiarity with data pipeline tools (Kafka, Logstash) and SIEM dashboards/queries
- Excellent briefing and stakeholder communication skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate equipment configurations for new installations and perform validation testing of Corelight products
- Develop custom detection content, anomaly/hunt detections, and threat-hunting playbooks
- Assess overall health of Corelight infrastructure at customer sites and perform network-related testing
- Investigate incidents and provide technical input to outage root cause analyses and corrective actions
- Design and implement integrations with ecosystem partners (packet brokers, asset managers, SOAR, etc.)
- Implement queries and dashboards in SIEMs (Splunk, Elastic, Humio) and work with back-end tools like Kafka and Logstash
- Educate customers on Zeek log usage and Corelight Suricata alerts; provide ongoing knowledge transfer
- Document data import processes (MISP, Intel) and develop SOC/IR workflow automation playbooks
- Lead project status meetings, wrap-ups, and provide ad-hoc written summary reports on equipment and security issues
- Influence customers and internal teams as a recognized technical expert
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Networking or related field, or equivalent experience
- Security or networking certification(s) (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, CCNA) preferred
- US Citizenship required
