Electrical Engineer - PCB Testing
Skills
- Hands-on lab experience with standard test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power supplies)
- Strong foundation in digital, analog, or mixed-signal electrical engineering fundamentals
- Experience testing and debugging PCBAs, prototypes, or production hardware
- Familiarity with common communication protocols (Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART)
- Ability to diagnose signal integrity and high-speed interface issues
- Basic scripting or embedded programming (Python, C/C++)
- Comfort creating and following test procedures and documenting results
- Ability to collaborate across hardware, firmware, optical, and manufacturing teams
Responsibilities
- Test and debug PCBAs and electronic subsystems, including multi-board systems
- Perform functional and performance testing during development, qualification, and production
- Support hardware bring-up and troubleshooting using lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, etc.)
- Verify electrical and functional requirements and support design verification
- Support production acceptance testing and contribute to test procedures and acceptance criteria
- Identify root causes of failures and support corrective actions and documentation
- Test and validate communication interfaces (Ethernet, SPI, I2C, UART) and high-speed links
- Assist with debugging signal integrity issues in high-speed or mixed-signal designs (SERDES, LVDS)
- Support environmental testing activities (thermal, vibration) and collaborate on AIT
- Work cross-functionally with international partners to support system integration and testing
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Relevant hands-on lab experience supporting electronic hardware development and production
