- 6+ years applying data science techniques to real-world problems
- Commercial experience with NLP and generative AI (Transformers, supervised NLP, generative frameworks)
- 3+ years programming in Python and advanced SQL proficiency
- Hands-on experience with LLM tooling (e.g., Langchain, LlamaIndex) and RAG patterns
- Working knowledge of MLOps principles and deployment pipelines
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize platform components to improve scalability, reliability, and performance of the LLM platform.
- Translate NLP and generative AI research into practical solutions, experimenting with architectures, training methods, and evaluation strategies.
- Develop and refine LLM output chains and application pipelines to improve quality, accuracy, and user experience.
- Implement MLOps best practices including benchmark monitoring, automated testing, CI/CD for models, and continuous improvement pipelines.
- Contribute to data governance, model governance, and ethical AI policy implementation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists and cross-functional teams.
- Shape the long-term technical roadmap for the AI platform and align applied science initiatives with business objectives.
Education
- Relevant tertiary qualification required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred
- Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline
