Senior Software Engineer II
Skills
- 5–8 years software engineering experience
- 5+ years with compiled, object-oriented languages (TypeScript, C#, Java)
- 2+ years with dynamic scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Ruby)
- Real-time data processing and event-driven systems experience (WebSockets, Kafka)
- Strong SQL skills; experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and managing production deployments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Git/GitHub, and Agile tools (JIRA)
- Experience in Private Markets or Financial Services and financial market data
- Strong collaboration, mentoring, and delivery track record
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality software on schedule with accurate estimates
- Take ownership of production changes, monitoring, and runbooks
- Provide thorough code reviews and raise engineering standards
- Design scalable, resilient trading platform architecture with performance focus
- Participate in design reviews and shape technical direction
- Act as technical expert for trading systems for internal and external stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions across teams
- Solve complex engineering problems, including within code generation frameworks
- Mentor and unblock other engineers
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
