Skills
- Strong Linux administration and deep networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, OSI model, troubleshooting)
- Hands-on production Kubernetes experience including RBAC, autoscaling, Helm, and multi-cluster patterns
- AWS cloud-native expertise and automation using AWS CLI and boto3
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and GitOps (ArgoCD)
- Proficient scripting or programming in Python or Golang, plus Bash and Ansible
- Observability tooling experience (OpenTelemetry, Grafana stack) and defining SLIs/SLOs
- Security-focused practices: secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and supply chain security
- Familiarity with middleware and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, MQ) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Rundeck)
- Experience applying AI/LLM tools to improve SRE workflows and automation
Responsibilities
- Design and develop internal SRE platforms and automation to eliminate operational toil and increase developer velocity
- Author and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and enable GitOps workflows (ArgoCD)
- Implement and manage observability using OpenTelemetry and the Grafana stack (Alloy, Loki, Tempo, Mimir); define SLIs/SLOs and error budgets
- Architect for high availability, capacity planning, and cost-optimization across AWS regions for Kubernetes workloads
- Lead incident response, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive blameless post-mortems and remediation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to adopt reliability, security, and deployment best practices
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience
- Ongoing professional development in cloud and SRE-related technologies encouraged
