Staff Systems Security Engineer, Programs

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company building AI-powered command-and-control, autonomy, sensor fusion, and aerospace systems. They are seeking a Staff Systems Security Engineer to embed security engineering across product lifecycles—designing architectures, driving mitigations, performing security testing, and briefing government customers for complex embedded and systems-of-systems programs.

Skills

Deep expertise in embedded systems security, secure boot, key management, and FPGA security features
Strong systems and systems-of-systems engineering background with cyber/resiliency knowledge
Experience developing and executing security test plans, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
Ability to translate complex technical security concepts for program leadership and government customers
Proficiency with programming for security tasks (e.g., Python, C/C++, Rust, Go) and tooling

Responsibilities

Define and decompose security requirements from customer needs and threat intelligence for assigned products
Design and own security architectures across hardware, firmware, software, and system integrations
Develop and execute multi-level security test strategies and support milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR)
Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls and validate implementations
Work with assessment teams to discover vulnerabilities and drive remediation
Brief program leadership and government customers on security posture and tradeoffs
Coordinate threat modeling, validation, and cyber survivability activities across teams
Support supply chain, software assurance, configuration management, and anti-tamper processes

Education

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Equivalent education combined with significant hands-on experience accepted
