Skills
- Hands-on expertise in analog and digital electronics and complex embedded systems
- Proven experience with PCB design, schematic capture, layout, and board bring-up (Altium proficiency)
- Familiarity with interfaces: Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, ADCs
- Experience with MCUs, CPUs, and FPGA devices
- Competence using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, current probes, and automated test setups
- Strong leadership, organization, and written/oral communication skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Lead avionics and embedded control electronics development from concept through production, ensuring integration, reliability, and performance.
- Manage and provide technical guidance to a team of Electrical Engineers, including hiring, performance reviews, and career development.
- Oversee full-cycle PCB and LRU development: requirements, schematic, component selection, layout, bring-up, integration, and debugging.
- Architect flight-critical systems with emphasis on reliability, redundancy, and fault tolerance; collaborate cross-functionally to set product specs.
- Define and deploy engineering processes, conduct design reviews, and ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards.
- Coordinate with fabrication and manufacturing partners, manage BOMs, assembly processes, and supplier engagement to ensure production quality.
- Plan and execute subsystem and system-level testing and validation in harsh operational environments.
- Troubleshoot issues across electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment and software debugging tools.
- Support concurrent projects at various lifecycle stages including active deployments and new developments.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
