Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 8+ years hands-on electrical engineering experience designing functional test equipment
- 5+ years experience with schematic capture and/or PCBA layout (Altium experience a plus)
- 2+ years experience scripting for test automation (Python, C/C++, C#, MATLAB; LabVIEW a plus)
- Advanced familiarity with hardware communication buses (USB, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, serial, I2S, CSI)
- Experience developing test and validation strategies and working across prototype-to-production lifecycle
- Familiarity with lab safety, measurement analysis (Gage R&R, Process Capability), and source control workflows
- Must be eligible for a U.S. security clearance
Responsibilities
- Manage a small team of Test Automation Engineers to deliver end-to-end test solutions
- Define, own, and execute End-of-Line and functional test plans in collaboration with firmware, software, and hardware teams
- Design and implement automated test hardware and software to enable fast, repeatable verification of PCBA and system-level performance
- Perform hands-on PCBA and electrical system testing, rework, and board bring-up as required
- Analyze test data, communicate results, and collaborate with design engineers for defect resolution and design improvements
- Lead purchasing, build, integration, and commissioning of functional testers and test fixtures
- Support manufacturing test bring-up, yield improvement, and root cause analysis
- Contribute to design reviews, DFT recommendations, and continuous improvement of test coverage and reliability
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)
