Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of software engineers focused on security automation and vulnerability management
- Define technical direction and roadmap for scanning infrastructure, policy engines, and vulnerability platforms
- Collaborate with business lines to translate security and compliance needs into engineering requirements
- Design and architect distributed systems for scalable detection, policy enforcement, and remediation workflows
- Contribute hands-on to implementation in Go, Python, and infrastructure-as-code
- Drive build-vs-buy decisions and integrate/extend tooling where required
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, and operational excellence
- Manage hiring, career development, and performance of team members
- Coordinate with Platform Security Engineering on shared infrastructure and cross-cutting concerns
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Graduate degree (preferred, not required) in a technical discipline or relevant management training
