Responsibilities
- Design and integrate mechanical packaging for radars, EO/IR sensors, antennas, weapons, and onboard compute in compact maritime platforms
- Develop mounts, vibration isolation, and thermal management solutions for high-performance defense hardware
- Own mechanical system development from concept through prototyping, testing, and low-rate production
- Define requirements, propose solutions, and establish evaluation and verification methodologies for mechanical systems
- Lead design reviews, coordinate with vendors, and implement hardware test plans and field validation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and systems engineering to ensure reliable, manufacturable solutions
- Contribute to team tools, templates, processes, and standards and support continuous improvement
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
- Graduate degree in engineering or related field is a plus
