Skills
- Proficiency in HDL (VHDL or Verilog)
- Experience with PCB design and EDA tools (Altium Designer or equivalent)
- Experience with FPGAs, SoCs, SoMs and common MCU/CPU devices
- Familiarity with interfaces: Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB
- Design for signal integrity and power integrity experience
- Competence with lab and test equipment and test automation
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor an electrical engineering team focused on digital design, FPGA/HDL, and board-level integration
- Own the full PCB development cycle for host boards (requirements, schematic capture, layout, bring-up, test, integration)
- Define and improve FPGA/HDL design workflows: architecture, block definition, simulation, system testing, and HDL library standardization
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create a scalable rollout strategy for compute solutions across the company
- Create and maintain detailed product development schedules and ensure team awareness of tasks and deadlines
- Define test requirements and automate validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, and other lab equipment
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
