Skills
- Demonstrated leadership building and managing teams focused on functional programming
- Deep experience with Haskell and typed functional programming paradigms
- Strong system and software architecture skills for embedded/high-assurance systems
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain US Top Secret SCI clearance
- Willingness and ability to relocate to and work onsite in Orange County RF lab
- Familiarity with MATLAB and C code generation workflows (preferred)
- Experience with Nix/NixOS (preferred)
- Exposure to Linux kernel module development (preferred)
- Experience with graphics programming (OpenGL/DirectX/Vulkan) a plus
- FPGA development experience is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor teams of Haskell/functional programming engineers to deliver high-performance, high-assurance embedded software
- Drive EW software roadmapping, system architecture, and holistic design reviews
- Design large-scale systems using functional programming and algebra-driven design principles
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, RF, and FPGA engineering teams
- Recruit and build teams to scale execution of the functional-programming development approach
- Ensure software meets performance, safety, and assurance requirements for deployed EW systems
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant discipline is advantageous but not required
