Flight Test Integrations and Operations Manager - Mission Autonomy
Skills
- Proven experience integrating and testing combined software and hardware systems
- Proficient with Linux and command-line tooling
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and mesh networking
- Hands-on hardware integration experience with sensors, actuators, and peripherals
- Familiarity with flight control stacks (e.g., ArduPilot, PX4)
- Experience with testing methodologies, tools, and log data analysis
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Part 107 certificate and work extended hours as required
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Test & Evaluation operators and integrators to deliver operationally-ready UAS systems
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve software and hardware issues in integrated systems
- Oversee integration of new hardware components and sensors into new and existing platforms
- Evaluate system performance, develop improvement strategies, and implement corrective actions
- Configure and maintain mesh networks to enable system-to-system communication for testing
- Collaborate with flight test engineering to ensure test requirements and project goals are met
- Provide technical guidance and support across the integration and operations teams
- Lead Flight Test Operations as Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC), ensuring aircraft readiness, mission profiles, and safety compliance
- Develop and document operational procedures, maintenance workflows, and readiness checklists
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant technical certifications and/or active RPIC credentials preferred
