Job Summary
Responsibilities
Independently designs, implements, tests and bug fixes new features for applications primarily in the Microsoft C# ecosystem.
Responsible for proactive and regular communication with other team members involved in the development process.
Write programs according to specifications determined during meetings with end users or as supplied by the Programming Manager/Business Analysts.
Works with business analysts and program managers to gather and analyze requirements for developmental programs. Designs applications to meet University and business requirements with minimal guidance.
Participates in end-to-end initial beta-testing, ensuring compliance with stated requirements.
Provides appropriate written documentation of project development and programming code.
Independently solves problems and identifies and suggests opportunities for technical improvement and performance optimization.
Ensures that appropriate implementation standards are met for both functional and non-functional requirements such as performance and security.
Investigates, analyzes and resolves day-to-day technical problems using standard procedures.
Works with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for developmental programs. Receives a moderate level of guidance to design applications to meet University and business requirements.
Supports and maintains existing applications. Works with web developers and responds to requests from users.
Performs other related work as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience:
2-5 years of relevant software development experience, full cycle strongly preferred, including design, coding, testing, and support.
Expertise with Microsoft C# programming using MSSQL as database backend.
Knowledge of web applications, REST API, and service-based architectures.
Knowledge of application lifecycle management tools such as Azure DevOps.
Experience with version control leveraging git.
Familiarity with CI/CD and Agile methodologies.

Strong debugging and trouble-shooting skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
Ability to plan and persuade others to adopt new structures or systems in order to meet objectives.
Ability to take and provide constructive and helpful input and feedback on technical issues.
In-depth knowledge in all technical areas of major projects and core products.
Ability to work in a collaborative team to ensure accountability for deliverables and outcomes.
Understands and can maintain confidentiality related to sensitive matters such as personally identifiable, FERPA (Student), and HIPPA (Healthcare) related information.
