Skills
- Proven hands-on experience building ML/AI infrastructure: model serving, inference pipelines, GPU compute management.
- Experience designing and deploying agent systems or AI-powered automation that interact with external systems.
- Strong knowledge of frontier models, enterprise AI platforms, and commercial provider strategies.
- Track record hiring and developing engineering teams in fast-paced or ambiguous environments.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify high-value use cases and drive adoption.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire, and lead an 8-engineer AI Platform Engineering team (platform, infra, tooling).
- Design and own AI platform architecture: model hosting (cloud + on-prem GPU), inference pipelines, API gateways, and platform layer.
- Build and deploy enterprise AI tooling: knowledge platforms, coding assistants, connectors, and embedded workflows.
- Design and operate agent infrastructure for monitored, stateful automations with human oversight.
- Drive company-wide AI enablement: training, embeddings with teams, champion model, and reusable adoption patterns.
- Partner with Data Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, and Cybersecurity to deliver a secure, scalable, production-ready platform.
Education
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred but not required.
