Responsibilities
- Support daily news operations, station equipment, and computer-based IT systems
- Install, configure, and maintain broadcast and IT equipment at studios, transmitter site, and remote vehicles
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; perform repairs or implement workarounds
- Perform routine security updates, reboots, and maintenance of broadcast servers
- Contribute to and maintain accurate technical documentation of installed equipment
- Participate in occasional field work for remote productions
- Perform minor building-related maintenance and wiring tasks as needed
- Communicate status updates and progress on technical issues and projects
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or certificate in IT, networking, or related field preferred
- Relevant vendor or industry certifications preferred (e.g., CompTIA A+/Network+)
