Skills
- Hands-on electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices
- Soldering, crimping and cable harness fabrication and repair
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electro-mechanical schematics
- Familiarity or interest in Python and Linux for test automation
- Experience with test instrumentation and sensors (thermocouples, RTDs, accelerometers, load cells, transducers)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for interconnected systems
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to develop and document test procedures for development and flight hardware
- Execute tests and automated test scripts, collect data, and provide preliminary pass/fail analysis
- Design, fabricate and maintain harnesses, test fixtures, electrical checkout racks and GSE
- Troubleshoot failing hardware and produce rework instructions for HITL and factory environments
- Bring up and configure Linux-based servers for HITL and factory use following procedures
- Support satellite qualification tests (TVAC, EMI, vibration, shock) and vehicle operations
- Develop and improve test automation software in Python under engineering guidance
Education
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
