- Dynamics model development and validation
- FEMAP and Nastran experience for modal and dynamic analysis
- Engineering scripting in Python, MATLAB, or similar
- Statistics and data analysis for signal processing and test correlation
- Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and drive issues to closure
Responsibilities
- Own dynamic loads for hardware across the vehicle from early design through flight and post-flight review
- Build, validate, document, and maintain dynamics and coupled loads analysis models
- Develop random vibration and shock specifications and ensure hardware qualification compliance
- Collaborate with Aerodynamics, GNC, Propulsion, Structures, and Avionics to provide load inputs for liftoff, stage separation, entry, and touchdown
- Perform coupled loads and multibody analyses to inform primary structure and payload interfaces
- Execute hands-on testing, data review, and signal processing for modal and high-speed data where required
- Communicate technical results and tradeoffs to hardware owners and program leadership
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required
- Master’s or PhD in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering preferred
