Skills
- Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems and implementation
- Proficiency with core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans
- Experience with failure analysis, Fault Tree methods, and CAPA validation
- Experience designing and running qualification tests (ALT, environmental screening)
- Data-driven mindset with ability to define and interpret MTBF, yield, and escape metrics
- Strong program leadership and cross-functional coordination skills
- Supplier quality management and NPI collaboration experience
Responsibilities
- Lead complex failure investigations using Fault Tree analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are validated and sustained
- Integrate FMEA and predictive modeling into early-stage designs to identify and mitigate risks prior to production
- Partner with NPI, Supply Chain, and Operations to resolve reliability issues and influence supplier quality outcomes
- Define, track, and report reliability KPIs (MTBF, escapes, first-pass yield) and translate data into actionable insights
- Own qualification testing programs including Accelerated Life Testing and environmental stress screening
- Lead risk escalation and resolution using disciplined problem-solving (e.g., 8D) to drive rapid recovery
- Provide technical direction and day-to-day guidance to engineers and cross-functional stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or related) required
- Master's degree in Engineering is a plus
