Backend Software Development Engineer III
Skills
- Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript proficiency
- Experience with NestJS and Node.js frameworks
- Designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Event-driven architecture and message broker experience
- NoSQL/document DB experience (MongoDB)
- Experience solving data consistency and large-scale ingestion problems
- TDD / strong unit & integration testing discipline
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and modern development workflows
- Good written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable server-side solutions, APIs, and backend services with an emphasis on event-driven architecture.
- Build and maintain robust integrations with third-party manufacturer APIs and data ingestion pipelines.
- Author high-quality, testable, and maintainable code; develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot production incidents; propose and implement durable fixes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical design reviews, and architectural discussions.
- Improve system performance, reliability, and developer productivity through tooling and platform changes.
- Perform peer code reviews, mentor engineers, and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Or equivalent practical professional experience
