Skills
- Deep technical expertise in manufacturing test system design and deployment for consumer electronics/wearables.
- Experience with automated test fixtures, test equipment selection, and test automation frameworks.
- Proven leadership managing multi-site engineering teams and operating with global contract manufacturers.
- Strong troubleshooting, yield analysis, and production support experience.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and program management across time zones and cultures.
Responsibilities
- Define and influence global manufacturing test strategy and engagement model with contract manufacturers and internal partners.
- Lead and develop a distributed team of test engineers across the US and Asia to deliver on roadmap projects.
- Design, develop, and implement automated and manual test systems, test plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Support production troubleshooting, process improvements, NPI support, first-pass yield targets, and operator training.
- Ensure traceability of test results, implement preventative quality measures, and provide design-for-testability feedback.
- Coordinate cross-functional communication and project management updates on builds, yields, and technical risks.
- Manage internal and external test capabilities for return logistics and returns testing strategies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
- Master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline preferred.
