Software Engineer III, Mobile Developer Experience
Skills
- Substantial mobile engineering or mobile build/platform experience (iOS and/or Android)
- Strong knowledge of Xcode and Gradle build systems and mobile testing frameworks
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms, especially GitHub Actions and mobile-centric tools like Bitrise
- Experience building and maintaining reusable workflows and automation at scale
- Demonstrated application of AI/LLM tooling in production workflows
- Familiarity with build/test observability and pipeline diagnostics
- Proficiency contributing to platform code in Go, TypeScript, or Python
- Excellent cross-functional communication and developer advocacy skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between PEAS and product/mobile engineering squads to collect feedback and prioritize platform investments
- Design, build, and improve CI/CD pipelines for iOS and Android with an emphasis on build time, test reliability, caching, and fast feedback
- Develop and maintain reusable GitHub Actions and platform workflows (the "golden path") for mobile teams
- Identify and implement AI/LLM-powered automation and intelligent tooling to accelerate developer workflows (triage, test selection, code review assistance)
- Contribute to build and test infrastructure (CI runners, simulators/emulators, caching strategies) to maintain pipeline performance
- Collaborate on security tooling and reliability guardrails that balance safety and developer speed
- Coach engineers on CI/CD best practices, dependency management, and AI-assisted development; produce documentation and enablement materials
- Define and track metrics (build times, failure rates, cycle time, developer satisfaction) to guide platform priorities
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Equivalent practical experience in software or mobile platform engineering will be accepted
