About us: Marketing Architects is a 25-year-old, Minneapolis-based TV agency serving national brands like Nuts.com, BambooHR, and Joybird. Misfits & Machines is our product innovation lab — a small, fast-moving team building proprietary AI tools like Mass Customizer (AI-driven TV creative personalization at scale) and custom LoRA models for brand-consistent AI video generation. We've already shipped real products; this isn't a research project.
The role: As our Creative Strategist Copywriter, you'll be one of three creative builders on the team — alongside an audio specialist and a visual specialist — reporting to the Chief Product Architect. You'll generate world-class ideas and copy across TV, video, and omnichannel campaigns while simultaneously shaping how AI elevates creativity. Think of yourself as both the creative conscience (ensuring our AI tools meet real advertising standards) and the mad scientist (exploring what's possible when you chain Runway, ElevenLabs, ComfyUI, and custom models together). This is a hands-on maker role — you write, experiment, and build. No delegating, no approval matrices, no client presentations.
What we're looking for: You've spent 7+ years mastering advertising copywriting — TV spots, video campaigns, brand strategy that actually moves people and business metrics. Your portfolio proves it. But lately, you've been losing weekends to AI. You're chaining multimodal tools together, tinkering with the latest model drops, and maybe even building your own creative tools on the side. You're fluent in what's possible and what's broken across video, audio, and image generation. You're ready to stop making campaigns and start building the tools that make campaigns.
