Senior Manager, Public Relations and Communications

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Public Relations and Communications in the United States.

This role is a strategic opportunity to lead and elevate the public relations and communications function for a rapidly growing cybersecurity and AI-focused organization. You will own the development and execution of integrated communications strategies that shape the company’s narrative, strengthen its market presence, and amplify executive visibility. This position has a direct impact on brand awareness, mindshare, and demand generation, working closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Sales, and Executive Leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at translating complex technical topics into compelling stories, and is equally comfortable setting strategic direction as executing hands-on initiatives. This role offers high visibility, opportunities to build media and analyst relationships, and the chance to influence industry perception at the category-defining level.


Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive PR and communications strategies, covering earned media, thought leadership, awards, speaking engagements, and major events
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and analysts to secure high-impact coverage in trade and business press
  • Manage and mentor internal communications teams and external agency partners, including performance management, budget alignment, and workflow coordination
  • Translate complex cybersecurity, AI, and automation topics into clear, compelling, media-ready stories and executive messaging
  • Oversee executive and corporate communications, including bylines, op-eds, keynotes, social content, internal communications, and crisis response
  • Drive content creation, including press releases, media alerts, blogs, FAQs, briefing documents, and award submissions
  • Plan and manage PR around key events and conferences, ensuring maximum visibility and alignment with company priorities
  • Monitor media coverage, sentiment, and competitive activity, providing insights and reporting to optimize communications strategy

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related roles, with significant experience in B2B technology; cybersecurity experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record leading PR and communications for high-growth SaaS or technology companies
  • Experience developing executive messaging and thought leadership programs, including media training for senior leaders
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats (press releases, blogs, bylines, talking points)
  • Skilled in managing agency partners, budgets, and scopes of work
  • Ability to operate strategically while also executing hands-on initiatives across multiple workstreams
  • Experience translating technical or complex topics into clear, compelling narratives for media and stakeholders
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with PR tools, social listening platforms, and analytics to connect communications activities to measurable outcomes
