Senior Director, Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Strategy & Operations

IonQ is a leading public quantum computing company delivering advanced quantum systems and solutions to customers across industry and government. The Senior Director, Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Strategy & Operations will partner with senior leadership to build and operationalize Federal, Government Relations and Corporate Affairs functions, drive strategic planning, and create scalable playbooks, governance and communications to advance enterprise priorities.

Responsibilities

Serve as strategic advisor and operational lead to the SVP, Federal and Chief Corporate Affairs & Government Relations Officer
Design and institutionalize playbooks, protocols and engagement frameworks for Federal, Corporate Affairs, and Government Relations
Lead strategic planning cadence including quarterly business reviews, annual planning and board engagements
Create customer mapping, operational systems, performance tracking and governance to ensure accountability
Prepare executive briefings, external engagement materials and high-impact communications for senior leaders and stakeholders
Coordinate cross-functional execution across Government Relations, Corporate Affairs, GTM, Business Development, Legal, HR and executive teams
Support enterprise issues management, crisis response and M&A communications governance
Drive talent development, onboarding and culture within the Federal & Corporate Affairs organization

Education

Bachelor's degree in political science, business, journalism, economics or related field (required)
MBA (preferred)
